The General Assembly is responsible for the general policy of the Confederation.

PEC holds its General Assembly every year in June during the International Labour Conference in Geneva.
Other meetings are held regularly eithe in Geneva or in an african city.

The General Assembly elects a new Executive Council every two years.

The Executive Council consists of twelve members representing employers' organisations from

(a) English-speaking
(b) French speaking, and
(c) Arabic-speaking countries.

The Presidency rotates among the three linguistic groups.

The Executive Council meets at least twice a year during the ILO Governing Body sessions in March and November.  In addition, it meets during different meetings  on the African continent.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF JUNE 2007

The last General Assembly was held on 7 June 2007 and elected a new Executive Council. 

The meeting was chaired by Me Thabo Makeka, Vice president of PEC.

The Secretary General presented the Annual Report of PEC as well as other publications.

The Assembly also discussed a review of subscriptions and the need for a new strategic orientation of PEC.
